Its been a while since we published a post.
Both Gabe and I have hit the ground running with work.
Gabe is at a salon in Newtown and I'm working on 2 tv commercials.
One for Qantas and the other for Commonwealth Bank ( how Ozzie can you get ).
Both of us are feeling a little strange with all the changes and new experiences.
But all is well.

Our dear friend Daniel is now a STAR !!

For all those in Australia, Daniel will appear on the KAK SHOW or the Kerrie-Anne Kennerley show from Slovakia !
For those who can't tune in here are some highlights:

- trying to have a toast with Slovak alcohol with said mouth full of cheese.
- not quite keeping up with her randomness.

I’m writing this at 38, 000 feet.

Freeway is stowed away in the luggage compartment and I think I’m finally relaxing a little.

The morning was way more emotional than I thought it would be and saying goodbye to Gabe was especially tough. We haven’t been apart in a while and the thought of not seeing him in NYC again was especially weird.

Freeway was ok in her cage but I hated leaving her in the Quickpak office, alone with all the noise and bustling of people.
After I checked my bags in (25 pounds over weight) I snuck back to see her but couldn’t go through with it, for fear of winding her up and her not settling down.
I had a lady peek for me and she said she seemed fine…. A relative term.

Anyway tears were shed in the terminal, the plane was delayed for an hour and the weather was close to 100 degree’s.
But we are finally on our way, first leg half done – thank you…

after much badgering, i'm finally getting around to posting. it's been party, party, party around here lately, and our big bon voyage bash is coming up soon. it's hard to believe grant is leaving in two weeks for OZ. it's been a bit of a rocky road what with cat issues and so on, but i think we'll just scrape in under the wire in terms of readiness.
there have been some really great times of late.....almost makes me want to stay.....
psych! not in a million years!
that said, there is nothing like an imminent departure to bring out the "best"in your friends and family.

The day began early with Gabe doing hair. Breakfast cooked by me for the gang, and lots of photos taken by everyone.

Slept in, as was deserved then filled the day with "before the wedding day" activities.
Suits pressed, batteries for camera's bought etc.
Girls went and bought granny undies to to stream the lines at M&S - quite the experience.

We went for a great walk up to the Barbican to meet Patrick for lunch in the few hours we had that weren't planned.
Great to see Patrick, acting up a storm in London and doing really well.
To bad we didn't we didn't take any photos together !

Had dinner that night back at Amanda & Marinka's apartment with Steven & Avril.
Cooked Lamb and Marisa popped over to say HI before the big day.

London... day one....

I thought it was about time I started to post about our trip now that we are back & into the swing of things...

The whole trip came about because my dear old friend, prom date, room mate (for a time) & fellow world traveller,
Marisa was getting married to the lovely Will in London on 21st April.

So we flew out on Virgin Airlines bound for ol' London town on Tues 18th April.

I must speak to Sir Richard about his airlines - things aren't as good as they used to be, but thats another story.

Anyway we arrived mid morning Wednesday 19th, and made our way to Sloane Apartments in Sloane Square.
Fredrick, our great driver picked us up and I can highly recommend him if anyone needs a reliable driver whilst in London.

All the ozzies were staying at the apartments and Marisa and her family were next door so it was a little Melrose Place there for the entire wedding time.

By the way if anyone is going to London I definitely recommend the Sloane apartments - not to $$ and very nice.

So we arrived, checked in with Helene, who runs the Sloane then headed off for some food & coffee, met up with Marisa for a chat and to buy hair stuff, blow dryer etc as Gabe was to create the hair masterpiece (more later).

After that we caught up with Amanda, Marinka, Stephen & Avriel to organized the night, talk about our plans for the wedding and go shopping for some groceries.
Also went for a huge walk through Chelsea then back along the Thames.

Everyone had plans for dinner so Gabe & I went off together to this Italian joint off the Kings Road and ate, amongst other things a great artichoke salad which was delicious !!

EXHAUSTED.... we went home and collapsed looking for ward to day 2 - London

seemingly a topic which explains it's self. guy-who-i've-never-heard-of number one, however, raised a good point. beware the desperate man who has nothing to lose. words to live by.

I've been reading & browsing blogs for a while but the idea of us actually having one.. well, quite a different thing.

But we have a lot going on at the moment so it will be a good way of documenting the changes and movements in our lives.
As soon as Gabe's visa comes through we are moving to Sydney.
I'm originally from Australia but have been living in NY for 13 years.
Gabe's from New York so the change for both of us will be tremendous.
